MyMeeting currently supports 2 languages, English and Bahasa Melayu. It is developed in English but default language that's set to use after installation is Bahasa Melayu.

What you need to start translating

•  Poedit
• A copy of MyMeeting

Translating steps

Extract strings to be translated

1. Go to cake/console directory under MyMeeting root folder

     $ cd <!MyMeeting directory>/cake/console
   

2. Extract the strings

You will have an updated copy of default.pot generated for you in <MyMeeting directory>/app/locale. This file contains all the translatable strings.

Translate to Bahasa Melayu

1. Open up Poedit. Go to File -> Open -> select app/locale/may/LC_MESSAGES/default.po

2. All strings and current translation will appear.

3. Go to Catalog -> Update from POT file... -> select app/local/default.pot

4. New found strings and obsolete strings will be displayed as below. Click OK. This will update default.po file.

5. All translatable will appear on the left column, translated strings on the right. There are 3 sections:

• not translated strings (new found with no suggestions)
• not translated strings (with suggestions)
• translated strings

For strings that prepended with '%', please do not translate. eg: %due_date - due date should be translated to %due_date - tarikh akhir. Prepended strings are used by MyMeeting as a placeholders in email templates, to be replaced by real values when emails are generated.

Select the string you want to translate and type the translation in the white box below it.

6. When you're done, click on Save.

Send the patch

1. If you want to share the translation with MyMeeting, please create a ticket. Then attach the <MyMeeting directory>/app/locale/may/LC_MESSAGES/default.po file with it
2. OSCC team will review and apply the patch accordingly.
